This hidden gem is outstanding! A fun and unexpected restaurant in the Promenade Shops. Great service, decor & of course the food! We tried numerous appetizers & entres and could not find anything that we did not love and their drinks are great. ~You can sample all their spreads for $12.00 that would include: * Greek Yogurt & Cucumber * Spicy Creamy Feta * Hummus * Grilled Eggplant Two entrees that should not be missed are: ~The Rebel Lamb (a traditional slow cooking recipe, enveloped with fresh herbs, feta, carrots, potatoes) ~Orzo "Paella" (large shrimp, calamari, mussels, clams, octopus, in a zesty tomato sauce on orzo) All their dishes are created in-house using only the freshest, finest ingredients. (e.g., Their Extra Virgin Olive Oil is from the Island of Crete) and their desserts are baked fresh daily. They do offer a "gluten free", vegetarian and vegan items for those who are concerned about what they are eating. Also, they have nice "Lunch Specials" that are very reasonable for the price and quality. Cheers!

One of my favorite Greek spots around! All of there food is delicious! If you go for lunch until 5 the lunch specials are awesome, almost half the price of dinner! Enjoy!

I was visiting Miami area for business and ordered 4 lunch entrees to be picked up for my team. I ordered Greek salad with grilled calamari, fantastic! Everyone in the team said that food was great. Next day, we drove to the place and had lunch there again. The service was great and the ambience very upbeat and welcoming. Highly recommended if you like Mediterranean food.

Went for lunch. Really nice place in the Promenade. Outdoor seating in this weather is great. Opted for a gyro pita. Was excellent with tzatziki. Had a greek salad too. Great service. Best restaurant in Coconut Creek.

A little bland, but good portions. Lamb chops are very good! Small plates are nice for two... The Spanaki (sp) fried cheese, not great. The dips were excellent as an appetizer! Wines were nice a light! Overall a great place to meet.

  • Jane C.

Excellent. No other word need be said. The lemon chicken soup was spectacular. The spanakopita was great. The service was friendly and efficient. In a outdoor mall shopping area so you can shop and eat or eat and shop. Low key and busy

This is my favorite Greek place and overall restaurant at the promenade . Their food always taste fresh and delicious and the prices are super affordable! I always get the ethos platter and I choose gyro for the meat. It is amazing! And under $18 (it comes with rice garlic potatoes Greek salad cucumber yogurt dip and pita) their salmon salad and lamb are also a favorite of mine! They have gotten real popular so to avoid the wait I call and order for pick up within 20min my food is ready! Awesome place will always be on the top of my list!

Ethos is a bustling and energetic Greek bistro located in The Promenade Shops in Coconut Creek. The atmosphere is a breath of fresh air for someone looking for a delightful experience in a lively, contemporary atmosphere. I have dined here many many times for lunch, dinner and even a mid afternoon appetizer. The is most often a slight wait for a table, but it is never too terrible. The hostess will take your cell number to call you when the table is ready, thus allowing one to stroll through the shops while waiting. Nice detail. The food is fresh, tasty and well presented. This is not necessarily a traditional Greek menu, more of a new take on Greek. I have tasted most everything on the menu and have never been disappointed. There is a good selection of main dishes as well as small plates (tapas) if one is interested in eating in that style. Their Sampler plate of dips and pita is a must try. When're I dine here with friends, this dish is gobbled up quickly! I am a huge fan of the grilled calamari small plate. Love the combo with the red cabbage. Tasty. The service is always excellent. Remember this is a vibrant, fast paced atmosphere. Dishes do not languish in the kitchen. The wine list is short, but I find the Kretikos wines to be great compliments to the food. The parking can be a challenge, but there is always a place to park. You might just need to walk a bit, which isn't horrible because you can window shop along the way.

This is by far my favorite restaurant. We haven't had a meal we did not like. From the servers to the managers, the staff is always attentive and super friendly. The food is always fresh, hot and delicious. Specifics: Order the octopus... It's spectacular; super tender, a little charred and perfectly finished with capers and olive oil. The Ethos platter with Gyro is huge and we normally order it along with a ton of meze (apps) and share everything. Speaking of meze, the other must haves are Dako, zucchini croquettes and zesty feta spread. We love the place and recommend it to everyone we know!

I've been to Ethos twice now. Both times the service and ambiance were superb. The last time I was ill and couldn't really enjoy my meal but I know that it was OK (not great - I had a green salad w/ shrimp. The balsamic dressing was really very unimaginative... it was blah... but hte shrimp were grilled and flavorful). My group was overall pleased with their meals both times so I would come back. And their baklava is really, REALLY good IMO. I'd come just for that! :)

We were big fans of this place but quality has really dropped lately. We ordered to go and they completely messed up our order and did not even gave us one of the things we ordered. Good thing is there are plenty of Greek places to chose in south fl so we will be finding a new one

Had dinner here last night. Food was great and service was good as well. Our waitress was attentive, but gave us our space as well. Drinks we're always refilled and we did not have to ask once. Gyros were a little dry and overall the food was a bit salty. The reason for the 3 stars was the wait and interaction with the manager. We were told there was a 30 min wait, which actually ended up being 65 minutes. The hostesses continued to quote people 30-45 mins despite there being 10-15 people on the wait list. When I confronted the manager about this and our own wait time he said "if I tell people longer wait times, they will go somewhere else." That's a poor approach to customer service. Groups should be able to decide whether they wait or leave based on an honest wait time. I'd only recommend this restaurant at non-peak hours.

ZERO STARS! SALTIEST restaurant food I've even WASTED $$$$$ money on. Spinach pie SUPER SALTY. Gyro platter (pork) had a faint seafood taste. Now I'm worried about cross contamination. Gyro plater likewise SUPER SALTY. This was a take out order. It included a side of hummus. They put the hummus and pita triangles in the same container, sooo, of course by the time I got home...the pita was covered in humus. Why? Why not just wrap the pita in wax paper or something? I won't be back. I'm super annoyed about the spinach pie. I tried it because a Yelper recommended it. The first bite was a BLAST of saltiness and it went right in the trash. $36 wasted!

I came here once for lunchtime not too long ago. The wait was about 30 minutes which was a bummer. But once my party and I were seated, everything went smoothly. Our waiter was nice and well versed on the menu. The food came out very quickly which was a plus!! Great atmosphere and the lunch special prices are reasonable. I'll definitely be going back!!

Very pleased with our meals. Enjoyed salmon and Greek platters - one with gyro and one with chicken. Started with hot bread served with olive oil and herbs. Loved the lychee martinis. Ended the meal with delicious pastry. Excellent service by James. Very reasonable prices.

Arrived at Ethos around 8pm on a Friday night. The wait time for my boyfriend and myself was between 45 minutes to an hour. I thought that was a little bit overestimated since there were empty tables inside and outside the restaurant. It was unique when you check into the restaurant because they ask your for your name and cell phone number. When your table is ready, they will call you on your cell phone. It's great because you can walk down the corner and have a drink or two. We were then created by a friendly waitress. After placing our order, they served complimentary bread with an oil dipping sauce. After waiting over an hour, we devoured the bread. The oil seemed to be flavored either with lemon or garlic. The combination was great. I ordered the grilled chicken Ethos platter and my boyfriend ordered the gyro Ethos platter. Once we placed our order, the food was quickly served. I was shocked to see how much food was served with the platter. The platter included a Greek salad, roasted potatoes, spinach rice, pita bread, tzatziki sauce, and your choice of meat. The platter had a generous amount of food for such a decent price. Overall, the food was great but the wait time wasn't so great.

One of the best Greek restaurants in the area. Portions are HUGE and everything is always fresh. Try the watermelon martini!

Last night, a group of us tried to go to ethos for dinner and unfortunately had the MOST unpleasant experience dealing with an over zealous host. It was raining outside. The restaurant was about 90% empty. Only three tables were occupied. Since we had time constraints, the three of us that were able to arrive earlier asked if we could be seated as the two stuck in traffic already told me what they wanted to have. The host, who's name is "Humberto" said No!!!! He said he can't break the rules and kept talking over us when we tried to explain that we would be ordering food for all five people. Not just the three of us. And he kept saying how he can't break the rules. Did I mention that it was a mostly empty restaurant? We asked to speak to a manager and he told us that he was the manager. So we said that we would go somewhere else and started talking about our options and that guy even gave us suggestions!!!!! I am sure the owners of Ethos wouldn't approve of his attitude or behavior. Due to the lack of service, I will not be eating at Ethos again - you've lost the business of at least 5 people because of "Humberto". I think he needs some customer service training. It's completely unacceptable!

2nd time I've been here. Both times ordered the silver sampler. Start with pita and a plate of 4 dips a hummus, tzatziki , an infused feta, and eggplant smash. All home made all yummy. Then we got 2 stuffed grape leaves then a large Greek salad then our meat. Its a carnivores dream. Gyro meat, chicken, pork tenderloin and something that resembled a burger (but it was half beef half lamb) on top of a huge pile of rice (which tasted like the rice they use to stuff the grapes, very flavorful) and a potato and a half, that is $19.00 per person and well worth it. Both times food was amazing and more than 2 people can actually eat. It was very hot out today and I had a cucumber drink that was perfect. Last time I went at dinner time. There is usually a wait and they only have 1 toilet in the ladies room. Lunch time. Same great food, no wait and I think the drinks were even cheaper.

This was our second trip to Ethos, we had to go back to try more of the food! We've been concentrating on the small plates, and have really loved the grilled octopus, the grilled calamari (I have never had calamari so perfectly cooked and tender in my life!), the mussels, shrimp scampi, lemon chicken soup and zucchini croquettes, everything was wonderful. We sat at the bar tonight and met Paige, the bartender. She treated us as if we were VIP customers, but after a while we saw that she treated every customer like that. She was friendly and very open with a quirky sense of humor that had us laughing and joking throughout the evening. She was very attentive and had extensive knowledge of the menu and wine selections and constantly checking back to make sure everything was OK or if we needed anything else. Even if the food was not as fantastic as it was, we would still go back just to sit at the bar and enjoy another evening with her!

I have the garden salad w/ gyro every time I come here. One of the best salads EVER. Ethos is a worthwhile contribution to the Promenade.

We have been going here for years. The food is decent and the service the same. Tonight we were eating at Ethos and saw something we have never seen at any restaurant before. A family was eating dinner with their young child, maybe 2 or 3 years old. The family had brought in some chicken tenders from a restaurant next door for their child to eat. The manager went nuts on the family and made them leave. He actually started to yell at them and told them that the child couldn't eat food that was not purchased there. I could understand if it was alot of food and they lost business, but its a 3 year old with 3 chicken tenders. There was 5 adults and 1 child. The manager completely embarrassed the family and walked them out of the restaurant while yelling at them. I have a young child myself and understand that children only eat "certain" things and you do whatever you have to do to make them happy. I will NEVER eat at Ethos again. The way they treated that family was horrible. I will make sure to tell everyone about the bad experience i saw there tonight.

My third time here, and I guess it was the charm. Our waitress, Taylor, was really great! Attentive, but did not hover like some waiters sometimes do. Food was really good. We had the silver platter sampler, this is not the exact name. It had pretty much a little of everything. I first thought it would not be enough, but for two, there was leftovers.

Went Fri eve about 8:15 PM. We were a party of four. Very busy with a 45 - 60 min wait. Not sure why so long as the tables were turning over with a few 4's always available. Kept going to hostess stand to check and finally got a table. Server was prompt and very pleasant. Delivered a loaf of rustic crusty warm bread with a fantastic seasoned dipping oil. We ordered several of the small plates. Kefte two ways ( saganaki with cheese and sauce and plain ), roasted beets and manouri cheese, octopus and moussaka. A runner delivers the food not your server. I've always wondered why they're called a server when all they do is take the order. Anyway, each dish came out of the kitchen so fast and without serving spoons it was obvious that it was all ready to eat. Turns out the fast service wasn't a good thing as the three dishes that were supposed to be hot were at best luke warm and had to be returned for more cooking. Once again the runners took care of this but were very concerned about the situation and must have advised the server as the server always came over to apologize and see that they were corrected. Once the food was returned it was excellent. Then we ordered three entrees: shrimp castella, salmon and ethos platter with gyro meat. The shrimp dish was the clear winner of the evening. Plenty of shrimp cooked to perfection, soft and succulent all in perfect combination of cheese and other flavors. The ethos platter is a great deal and since it doesn't require anything but heating the elements it's a shame that the kitchen treats it like a fast food joint. In fact, fast food joints can do it better. The first plate had dried out cold gyro meat and the sides were close to the same temperature. It also was lacking the pita that was supposed to be on it. The second attempt was much better and well worth it but they're is still room for improvement. The spinach rice on this dish is heaven. The third entree salmon was just okay. Next time my guest said they would get the sauce on the side and request that the fish be cooked less. In all, we did have some very good food and while our "server" did make frequent returns to check on us and always filled our wine, we as a group would suggest that management review kitchen procedures with all concerned to prepare and deliver plates with better presentations and that are served at the proper temperatures. Maybe give everyone a thermometer ! There are some delicious items on this menu and I'd return to try more of them.

Been here twice, been to Greece and have many Greek friends and both times I have not been Impressed with the food which I think they can do better, Its always packed but I guess because of its Location and Shoppers and Trendy Customers.Always a Long Wait for a Table. Greek friends said to me that there are better Greek Restaurants in South Florida but if Traditional Greek Food is not Important to you then Yes this is the place for you !!

This place is super fantastic. I am so glad my parents encountered it so every time I visit them in FL we can go. It is really delicious Greek food & wish they had a place up here in Boston. As a vegetarian my favorite thing to get is always the spanikopita w/ the lemon potatoes, so dam tasty. The service was also superb & it doesn't hurt that my parents go there enough that they know them.

Fantastic Greek restaurant in the Promenade. Nice location to dine in - the trendy, modern decor makes it a good date spot. If you have food restrictions, the menu clearly marks which items are gluten-free, vegan, or vegetarian. I've gotten the calamari salad ($10) both times I've been, it's delicious and very filling as a meal on its own. The stuffed grape leaves ($7) were also a good portion and very tasty. I don't recommend ordering the baked shrimp dish, our order came with only 5 pieces of shrimp, which weren't that big, so I won't order that again. I'll definitely be going back!

Delicious Greek food. I loved their Feta Cheese and Tzatziki sauce. They shred their cucumbers which gives the Tzatziki an amazing texture. Their grape leaves were delicious. Calamari was great. Cocktails were alright. Gyro was alright (should have been crispier). Dessert was good but the baklava wasn't authentic. Too much filling, not enough phyllo. Overall, great food and they give you a lot. I was eating my entree for 3 days. YUM!

We just moved to Coconut Creek and tried out this restaurant with my husband. I have not ever been a fan of greek cuisine but after eating here I have to say this restaurant is overall amazing!! We came back 3 times in two weeks:) First of all the bartender Nick remembered us and also what we had ordered. Their Ethos salad and the Rib Eye steak is excellent along with their Hummus Platter as an appetizer. The atmosphere is "upbeat" and there are all types of people there. Excellent food & friendly staff. K Mason Coconut Creek, FL

Excellent Greek Restaurant with nice indoor/outdoor setting. The service was truly about as good as you could imagine, Ronald went above and beyond what most would expect. Had very tasty hummus and fantastic Branzino stuffed fish with grilled mushrooms and peppers. Great spot and location.

Ok I guess. We went here with friends. They had been before, as had my wife, and my mom. Everyone seemed to like it before, I walked away with an 'it was ok feeling'...and that it was expensive. We ordered hummus. $6. Tiny plate of hummus and a few pita. We ordered a side of cucumber to go with the hummus. About 1/3 of a cucumber (that costs $.80 whole in a grocery story). $2. Really? The crusty (free) bread was good. We had a beet salad and a bronzini fish ($24). The bronzini came with rappeli, and we opted to go with grilled vegetables (substitute for .75). It was good, but I remember eating at Kyma this same fish and it was outstanding. The beet salad, $10 was good, and between the two dishes it was plenty for the two of us. Atmosphere is clean, simple but not a ton going on. Kyma has that more festive atmosphere. Enjoyed the meal but I will probably go back to Kyma first.

We went for lunch and sat outside on a very pleasant day. The host was very nice and seated us promptly. My husband and I both had gyros with side salads and iced tea. The entrees were very good, plentiful, and reasonably priced. The waiter wasn't very attentive and was very slow to refill our iced tea glasses. Good luck to Ethos. It is a welcome addition to the Promenade.

Haven't had Greek food in years but I have to thank a great friend of mine that introduced me to this place. The ambiance, the food and the service was excellent. The spinach pie was sooooo delicious and super fresh. The pork tenderloin I had, perfection!! Very tender and juicy along with the lemon seasoned roasted potatoes and the steamed veggies seasoned with balsamic vinegar, off the hook! We drank a pitcher of sangria that was second to none. Never had a sangria that had such a unique taste. The waitress, great and very attentive to us. Highly HIGHLY recommend this place.

I am fortunate to live close so I have been to Ethos a few times. It's always the place to go when guests are visiting from out of town. Atmosphere is comfortable and everything on the menu is delicious (I have tried it all!) with my favorite the Chicken and Artichoke. If you're starving, the Ethos platter is awesome. Crystal has been my server several times and is knowledgeable and so accommodating. On those visits that called for a small plate and exotic martini, Nick at the bar is great! He loves to experiment with different ingredients to come up with a new cocktail. Check out the Velvet Dynamite with jalapeno....yum.

So we came to eat here the other day for the first time. Now I know it seems a little ridiculous to write a review about a place I've only been to once, but let me tell you: once was enough for me to fall in love with this place. Everything was perfect. We loved the atmosphere, the cleanliness, the service, and the food. We started off with the spicy feta dip. It was hitting every flavor note. It was served with warm pitta drizzled with olive oil and some dried herbs. I also got a Greek beer (Mythos) from the happy hour menu. Being our first time here we decided to ask for some advice on what was the most popular meal and what the waitress (Jennifer) recommended. While we stuffed our faces with the yummy feta dip we stared at the menu trying to decide from the great selection they had. We got the Ethos lunch platter because it we had gone to try the gyros. With the Ethos platter you get a choice of meats. You can choose from Grilled Chicken, Pork Tenderloin, Keffe, or Veggies. On the plate you also get a greek salad that was very fresh, Spinach rice, oven roasted potatoes, but we opted for fries which where amazing!!! Oh and you also get pita and yogurt sauce. For dessert with got the cheesecake. It was pilled on top of baklava with a dollop of whipped cream. The whole experience left me wanting to come back the following day. Go you will love it!!!! Next time I go I must try the octopus and calamari. P.S. Ask for Jennifer she was amazing.

This was a great find. The food was excellent and the waiter ( Ron )made the meal even more enjoyable. I would recommend to all . My wife and I tried the platters sold as a per person charge. food was plenty , we even took home enough to have dinner tonight

The food was superb. The have a feta & jalapeño dip that is great. The gyro platter was perfect, the meat was tender, thick and juicy. We will be back again very soon. Too bad it's a 20 minute drive or we would be there weekly!

We tried this place tonight for the first time. It is excellent! We wanted to try some of the standard dishes here so we got the Taste of Ethos. It comes with a Greek Salad, Grape Leaves, Spread Sampler, & meat platter. This was for two people, but the portions were huge! We wound up taking so much home that we'll have another meal tomorrow. The salad was crisp and fresh. The grape leaves were delicious. The spreads were all house made fresh and tasted awesome. The meat platter was excellent. I can't say enough wonderful things about the food. The atmosphere is busy, but in a good way. The staff is wonderful and really cater to whatever you need. Not to mention how clean the place is. The decor is a little like a night club and since the inside is not that big, it looks very trendy. We will absolutely be making this place a regular stop. So glad we tried it!

I first heard about this Ethos while visiting the Deerfield Beach Food & Wine Festival. I was able to sample a few of their creations at the fest and, after speaking to one of the managers, I became intrigued. We exchanged business cards and as promised, they contacted me to invite me to their grand opening. Being Greek, I embrace the opening of new restaurants that can "bring me back home." Ethos Greek Bistro is located in the Promenade Plaza in Coconut Creek (Wiles Rd & Lyons Rd) where Fish City Grill was located. I hate to say it, but good riddens! I have tried several things on the menu; Gyros, Avgolemono, Greek Salad, Rebel Lamb, Lamb Chops, Greek Chicken, Saganaki, Shrimp Saganaki, Kefte, Souvlaki, Grilled Octopus, Grilled Calamari, and all of the desserts. (How can you give a fair review if you haven't tried several items, right?) My first visit was just okay. The soup was loaded with dill which is not traditional, the saganaki used vlahotyri cheese (unlike kefalograviera, kasseri, or kefalotyri which is what I am used to) and didn't taste very good, and we had to ask for pita. Generally, a gyros platter and saganaki come with pita. I wasn't impressed, but the service was great, so decided to wait a few weeks and give it another go. I have since been back 5 times and now love it. I have yet to try the saganaki again, but was told that they changed the cheese therefore; I will be tasting it soon. The service is always great. Although, the prices are a bit high for Coconut Creek, the food packs a punch in the flavor department and the service is always pleasant. I recommend trying their lamb. Whether you want lamb chops or a slow roasted en papillote version (their Rebel Lamb) you will be pleased. The Shrimp Saganaki is a must try as well. Want the best of both worlds? Get my favorite...Surf & Turf! You really can't go wrong with any selection. Ethos Greek Bistro uses high quality ingredients. Their feta cheese alone blows others restaurants out of the water. Soft, briny, and creamy; it keeps you coming back for another bite (unlike the brick hard style served in other places.) All I can say is welcome to Coconut Creek Ethos! The Promenade is getting better and better! Get over there and check them out. Tell 'em Fork Notes sent ya and let me know what you think.

This place has amazing greek food. Very trendy and cool atmosphere. Indoor seating is quit small but has a very large outdoor seating area and with really nice weather its a gorgeous place to sit outside at. Beer selection is minimal to none with one beer to choose from but they do have a full liquor bar. I think this is largely to do with World of beer being next door. I ordered the gold package combo which comes with a salad for 2 a spread sampler and a meat platter for 25$ a person. I highly recommend so you get to try everything. The ethos salad was amazing, the spread sampler was GREAT, and the meat was tender, juicy, and excellent. You definitely get more than you moneys worth for 25$ a person. The gold and silver combo could almost be split between 3 people honestly. Great food and great atmosphere....i will definitely go again!

Date night spot! With platters you can share and servings you can't finish make this place a must stop in. There steak dinner is the star of this menu. Great service and a quite vibe.

Excellent service from the moment we walked in. Our waitress Michelle was fantastic with the knowledge of the menu, wines etc. I ordered the lamb chops entree which came with a delicious assortment of roasted veggies, portabello, roasted red bell pepper, zucchini strips and red potatoes. Very filling perfect seasoning! My husband had the pork tenderloin platter which came with fresh soft pita and hummus. Delist we will be coming back very soon. We have eaten at many Greek restaurants over the years but this place is the real deal. Get there early on the weekends because they do fill up quickly. OPA!

Here for lunch. Great lunch specials. Wonderful service. Everything that we had was outstanding. Everything tasted fresh and homemade. I will defiantly be looking forward to coming back here soon. Delicious!

First time here, food was good. Ordered the sample silver platter. Only complaint is that the food comes really fast no time to savor each course.

Second time visiting this place, and again a great experience. The food is delicious and the service is excellent. The only reason it's not five stars is because of the bugs outside, but it is Florida. It be nice if they took reservations.

Best greek style in the Boca / Springs area! Went last night had the lemon chicken soup, a bunch of appetizers including grilled pork belly with roasted pepper, roast beets with cheese and the dip sampler. Everything tasted fresh and as nicely spiced. Boy had a huge pepper skirt steak with mushroom sauce that he devoured in seconds (and he hates mushrooms!). Ethos has a nice ambiance though a little loud inside for my tastes, would have prefered outdoor seating, but, alas it was a bit rainy and nasty outside. Fresh baked bread served immediately to the table and fantastic pita available as well... ! Also, for the local area, this place is priced right.. 4 dinners, a few drinks and out the door for $125.00!

In my opinion the food is 5*! The service is variable. I have had great servers and some poor service. Ordering from World of Beer (WOB) was poor. I told them where to look for us. They said 20-25 minutes. After 50 minutes I called. They then showed up saying that they had come but couldn't find us. So. You. Stopped. Looking?! Really?! We had to follow them back to restaurant to pay by credit card and they were not only unapologetic but unhelpful as well. Not impressed!! It is too bad because their food is delicious. I don't eat meat but I can say the following things are excellent each time I order them: humus, spinach pie, roasted beets. I also eat the sauce from the shrimp saganaki. It is fabulous!

Delicious! Met some girlfriends here for dinner the other night, and it was really nice. We did have to wait a bit for a table, but we didn't mind(My friend who eats there often said that it's worth the wait - and she was right). We walked over to World Of Beer and had a drink while we were waiting and the time flew by. Our service was great. We had a watermelon vodka cocktail that was delicious and refreshing. I ordered the salmon and it was out of this world. It had some kind of clove sauce on top that was heavenly. It was accompanied by a side of rice with spinach which was also very tasty :) If you happen to find yourself in The Promenade you should give this place a try.

Food is fresh. Service is good. Chicken apple salad is delicious. Not a big fan of Greek food but I must say this place is not like your typical Greek restaurants. Chicken was warm, walnuts were not soggy, apples were crisp, and salad was fresh. I'll be back for lunch here again.

Came into Ethos for my first time last week and had such a memorable experience! My waitress Melanie was a doll...a very sweet, attentive, bubbly blonde who took great care of me and my husband. I had surf and turf and he had a Gyro and both are meals were extremely fresh and delicious! We will definitely be back... What a great spot!

Ethos is a new Greek restaurant that opened recently in the Promenade mall on Lyons in Coconut Creek. This is definitely upper end "creative" Greek cooking. The greatest attraction of the restaurant is the pleasant outdoor seating. The is a shopping center that is design to mimic a city or town. each store or restaurant has its own entrance, so the whole thing has a kind of idealized urban feel. The outdoor seating at Ethos is near the "street", which is a pleasant place to be because there is very little traffic and everything is very pretty. It is especially nice in the cool of the evening, of course. As for the food, my wife and I ate four dishes. Three were excellent. The egg lemon soup was really delicious, as was the grilled octopus, and the eggplant spread. The octopus was a "small plate", which was really big enough for a small main course, not a tiny appetizer. The only entree we tries was what they called Rebel Lamb. From the description, it sounded like a variant on the kind of braised lamb dishes that are very popular in Greece and in Greek restaurants intended for Greek customers. Well, it wasn't. It was more like an Irish stew, actually a bit tasteless, unlike the Greek braised lamb dishes. This was surprising and disappointing since the other dishes were very flavorful. I think (hope) that the lamb was the aberration because the other dishes were really good and the atmosphere was very pleasant. We shall see. One problem: The restaurant is VERY popular so there can be a long wait, especially for outdoor seating. No reservations are taken. A suggestion: why not allow call ahead seating to allow customers to call up to an hour before they plan to arrive to put their name on the list? Is that really different than telling customers to wait for an hour after they have arrived and put their names on the list? Spelling mistake on the menu: branzino is the correct spelling, NOT bronzino.

EXCELLENT FOOD! You haven't lived until you try the pork belly here! Its on the small plates section of the menu. Everything is great from the bread to dessert. Can't go wrong. I'm not usually a big fan of Greek food but this is over the top in flavor and creativity.

I had to drop a star after going a few times and trying various dishes They do still have some very good food but almost everything that involves chicken is made with dark-meat chicken and it is very fatty and just doesn't seem very good quality. We stopped ordering meals and appetizers with chicken. Last time I was in for dinner I tried the Mousaka and was 100% disappointed by it. It seemed like it was cooked way ahead of time and then microwaved to 1000 degrees. Everything was just mush I couldn't even tell what I was eating, eggplant, potato it all just tasted the same with no flavor and like all the substance was zapped out of it. It really wasn't good at all and had no texture or flavor to any of the ingredients. I wouldn't have served it and it wasn't a good representation of how that dish should be. I struggled to eat it and in the end I left about 3/4 of it on the plate. (maybe I just got them on a bad day) I hope the improve the quality of chicken and some of the dishes and I will try them again, till then I don't think I'll be going for dinner anymore but will still go for lunch and just stick to the Gyro or Ethos chicken platter - which is white meat.

We made reservations for 12 and they had no problem accommodating us outside. No one in our group was particularly fond of Greek food. It just happened that we have dogs and needed a place where we could eat outside. Well let me tell you. I must have been Greek in a past life because everything was absolutely perfect. Food, service, clean bathroom, bowl of water for doggies, convenient parking, etc. All of the other restaurants in the Promenade essentially suck. The Noodle place is really sub par and typically I eat Asian food. Ethos gives new meaning to "Go Greek" We have been regulars since and have never been disappointed.

Fabulous. Best baklava ever. Comprehensive wine list. innovative menu. generous portions. Really enjoyed my cousin's birthday celebration here Saturday night. All the dishes were very good. Big stand-outs were the grilled octopus, the lamb carpaccio and the pastitsio. Service was excellent,

I had a great time with my boyfriend, it was both our first time at a greek bistro the salads was good and a lot that by the time our meals came we were so full. I enjoyed meat plater we ordered. Its a fully packed place.i would definitely go back again. The waitresses looked confused somehow and maybe my it was my accent. The crusty bread was so good with the olive oil dressing.its expensive but I think its worth it because the food is great.

I just love this restaurant. Have been here a few times and have never been disappointed. Unfortunalty, I always get the same thing. The Gyro platter. It's excellent. The value is great. As an appetizer, I always go with the sampler. Can't go wrong. They have a really great house cabornet. The service has always been friendly and efficient. It's in a great easy location.

great selection, great good. visited for lunch a few times, was always tasty and service was efficient. Also tried take out for dinner, and was well packed and food was just as good once home. Light decor, comfortable, not a huge restaurant, with seating in one open room, and tables can be close. Has some patio seating, but is completely weather dependent. Heard they get quite busy weekends for dinner, so plan on a wait. all in all, a good fit for the Promenade.

Loved this place. Went on a Saturday night and wait was long but they take your phone # so you can walk around and shop in the Promenade until they are ready for you. It was a nice night so we got a great table outside. Our waiter was amazing!!! He was so attentive and so knowledgable. We were very open to suggestions and he was super honest about the whole menu. We started with the hummus sampler which was delicious!!! We ate it all in minutes :) I ordered the pork and was looking forward to it but they unfortunately ran out and I had to get something different. I switched to a shrimp and dish which was ok. Taste was good but had so much oil!!! My friend got the lamb and shrimp and that was spot on. Dessert was amazing... Can't remember what it was called but custard and honey and you can beat that!! Definitely will go back again.

I went to this restaurant for the first time Wednesday and the food was delicious. I ordered the hummus and pita for an appetizer and had the greek salad with salmon. It was excellent, fresh and very flavorful. I live in Miami, but would drive back to this greek restaurant as it was just that good.

I am a regular customer here and everything I've ever ordered has been absolutely delicious!! I'm half Greek so I know good Greek food when I eat it!! I have also taken several of my friends here as well and they always love it just as much as I do. They have the best spinach pies here!! That is a must order! The atmosphere is nice and I love the location they are in because it is next to everything, you can really turn it into a night out.

Love, Love, Love this place. Being of Mediterranean descent form Montreal, we are somewhat connoisseurs of Greek food. We stumbled across this place a few months ago and have since been addicted. The food here is consistent and they are dead on with all of their recipes, just the right amount of salt/seasonings on all their meats and the freshest ingredients in everything they put out. The staff is always friendly, great service and generous portions. They have a full bar with the most AMAZING cocktails the Balsamico being my favorite. I highly recommend Ethos Greek Bistro to anyone in the mood for a little Greek... you will not leave disappointed!

We found the lunch menu to be a good deal and the food to be uniformly good although there was a rancid taste to the pita bread they served on the side. (Couldn't quite figure out what might have caused that and asked the owner to look into it.) This will be a great place to dine outdoors when the weather gets cooler.

Came in for lunch. Put down our name in for a table and they said to go walk around the shops and call us when the table was ready. We went just across the way to a store. I get a call and go to pick it up and it's a missed call. I realized it was the restaurant and we walk over. Not even 45 seconds have gone by at this point. We walk up to the host and he tells us that he has already given away the table. If I had known that they would give away the table in 45 seconds, then I would have sat as waited while the rest of my party browsed the stores. I was told that we have to wait another 20 minutes for another table. Being that one of us was on a lunch break, waiting was not an option. I asked to speak to the manager and the host began to get upset about it. The manager approached us wanting to know what was wrong, so we explained. He apologized and cleared a section that wasn't being used. After we finished our meal, we paid the bill but were brought the wrong change and the wrong bill receipt. Our change should have been substantially higher. That took more time to sort out. What should have been an enjoyable lunch was rushed. I would like to mention that I have eaten at Ethos many times and the food has always been good. Unfortunately the service isn't great and some of employees are lacking manners.

I am not recommending this place for dinner. I have to say, I was completely underwhelmed by the main courses. The lamb chops were over cooked and small. My lamb shank was chewy and bland (and was supposedly their specialty recommended by the waiter). But I would say to stop in and have a drink and have some soup and apps. My wife got a bowl of the Lemon Chicken Soup. It was so good, all of us ordered our own bowl. We ordered a number of apps: Shrimp Saganaki, Mediterranean Mussels, Hummus and Eggplant. and Grilled Octopus. All was solid and good...except the Octopus. That was fishy and tough and had to be sent back. I definitely would not rush back, but I will give it another shot, but not anytime soon. It is a nice looking place with some middle of the road type food.

From the outside, this place looks great, there was clearly a great amount of effort put into the way this place looks and that's where 1 of these stars come from (the other is a result of their Tzatziki, which i will admit, is quite good). Their food,on the other hand, is completely unremarkable. The lamb is overly greasy, the Greek salad was basically a decoration and my girlfriends pasta was all but devoid of flavor. This place is all style with no substance, all show and no go, and I wouldn't recommend it to anybody...except perhaps an interior decorator

Seriously, I cannot praise this restaurant enough!! It is one of my two favorite places anywhere in Broward/Palm Beach Counties, and I have lived here for 24 years, so I have tried a lot of restaurants in the area. You will find the perfect combination of unbelievably delicious food (an extensive menu allowing everyone in your party to find something to their liking, whether they be a meat-and-potatoes type, vegetarian/vegan, pescatarian), totally hip atmosphere (feel free to come in jeans or dressed up), and the most awesome waitstaff and management around, who make you feel like a welcome friend every time you step foot in the door. We have been coming here, or ordering takeout, at least twice a month ever since they opened, and have tried nearly everything on the menu. My all-time favorite is the Ethos salad (mixture of greens, green apple, radish, walnuts, gorgonzola, and their excellent house balsamic vinaigrette) with grilled salmon on top, accompanied by a glass of the Nemea Reserve red wine. My husband loves their Greek salad with grilled chicken, our son gets the Beet Salad (greens, fresh roasted beets, walnuts, gorgonzola) with salmon, and our daughter goes for a recently added item on the appetizer menu, the roasted beet and manouri cheese combo, which she has along with an appetizer portion of either the kefte (beef & lamb meatballs) or the grilled calamari or octopus. Other items we really enjoy: Appetizers- shrimp scampi, zucchini croquettes; Entrees- Shrimp Castella, Chicken Artichoke, Pepper Skirt Steak (again, excellent with a glass of the Nemea Reserve!), and their house specialty, "Rebel Lamb", chunks of lamb cooked in a parchment paper bag with potatoes, carrots, herbs, and feta cheese. The only thing on the menu that I've tried and not cared for is the lemon chicken soup, but that may be because it is a lot creamier than I expected and I don't like creamy soups too much. I am usually too full to get dessert, but they do feature some fantastic ones- especially the galaktoboureko (warm custard wrapped in phyllo dough drizzled with cinnamon & honey) and a new dessert I just tried last week, the Greek yogurt with chopped sweet figs and honey (can't remember, but it might have had walnuts in there as well)- I could even eat that for breakfast! Finally, I must say that this restaurant is a reflection of the people running it, particularly Kristina, who is always on the floor greeting diners and making sure they are happy and well-fed. Don't miss Ethos

Love love love this place. We go 3 to 5 times per month since they opened and have never had a bad experience. Their house wines are a great deal ($20 for a bottle of pleasant white table wine). Love the spread sampler, all of the salads, shrimp saganaki, dako, salmon, and the almond cake is wonderful. Service is always great too.

I have taken food out from here several times. I really like this place and I am not an expert on Greek food. Actually I will be trying some of their other dishes. The Skirt steak is cooked perfectly.Ordered medium it is exactly the right color. The yogurt/cucumber is very good. I also like the desserts. This is a cool place which is very busy on weekends. This restaurant is one of the busies tin the Promenade.

I have been wanting to eat here since this area opened up. We came here on a Saturday night, and this was the only restaurant that was packed in the plaza. We made a reservation for two as soon as we got there and requested the first available seating. They said it would take 30 minutes, then someone said 15 minutes. We decided to shop around, and three minutes later our phone rang and it was ready The inside is kind of modern, but the furniture is very uncomfortable. It almost feels like IKEA opened up a Greek restaurant. Our waiter was very nice. As an appetizer, they give everyone some very nice hot bread with some olive oil for dipping sauce. We decided to get three small plates to split among the two of us because the larger plates were a bit pricey, around the $17-$25 area. We decided to get the spinach pie, which was eight dollars, the grilled octopus, which was $12, and the kefte, which was eight dollars. The first thing we got was the spinach pie, which was tasty, but not all that thrilling. Then we got the kefte, which is almost like a gyro meatball. It was very delicious. And finally we got the octopus. It was very fine grade, I've only had chewy octopus before the past, and this was so smooth. It was very weird to taste this sort of texture, I had never tasted it before. Our bill was $30, which wasn't that bad considering. It wasn't a lot of food, more like tapas. We left with enough room for dessert. I would come here again if someone wanted to try Greek food, but I probably wouldn't come here myself. It was a good experience though.

Excellent service and the food was delish to boot. Went there with our usual lunch group the "Orphans 4" and we ordered the fried Calamari and the Hummus as an appetizer and then had the Greek Salad and the Chicken Pita and the Souvlaki Pita with the fries and roasted potatoes and they were all great. Our Norwegian waitress was very attentive and made the whole experience delightful. This has to be one of the better Greek joints in the area!

First let me say that the food here is top notch. We started with the appetizer sampler which was delicious. The entrees were all very good and made to order. But they came out one at a time. From the time that the first dish came out to the last ... There were 8 if us...it was a good ten to fifteen minutes. Then we ordered cappuccino and desserts. We finished our desserts and we still didn't have our cappuccino. Then we had to chase down the waiter for the check. I had to carry the check over to the waiter and then it was another 10 minutes until he brought it back. Go for the food but don't be in a hurry.

I don't normally post reviews, but I had to take a moment and write one for this place. I was visiting a friend and we actually came for both lunch and dinner while I was in town, because she and her friends are absolute fans of this place. She'll do take-out once a week here. So, you could color me curious after hearing about that kind of devotion. I've had some great Greek food before, because I used to live in the Midwest and travel to Chicago and I'd go to Greektown with friends, so I had high expectations. Well my expectations were met. The food was excellent, the service made me feel very welcomed and the contemporary décor gave it a chill atmosphere. When we went for lunch the place was bustling with people, but it didn't seem to slow our service down. I ordered the Ethos Salad and it had a mixture of greens, green apple, radish, walnuts, gorgonzola with an awesome house balsamic vinaigrette with grilled chicken on top. My friend had the Steak Salad with portabella, red pepper, zucchini, gorgonzola cheese, house greens and the balsamic vinaigrette, but without the caramelized onions. It was all so delicious and decently priced as well. Then later that week we had dinner there with a group of our friends. There was a little bit of a wait for dinner, but most places with great food have a wait. They found us a table for 5 and we all brought our appetites. Before saying anything, we loved the tzatziki sauce and highly recommend it! We ordered the Greek meatballs, lamb chops, shrimp castella, calamari, and the Orzo Paella. I had the shrimp castella and it was awesome. I know when I come back to visit I'll definitely be hitting this place up again.

Came yesterday afternoon for late lunch. My date and I are both from Greece and I, for one will say it's the best greek food in south Florida. Very clean preparation. Forget the gyros. That's comparable to McDonald's in Greece. Try the octopus, grilled calamari, roasted beets. Also service is EXCELLENT. The waiter actually told us "I'd rather wait for you than have you wait for me". When was the last time you heard that line? Prices good, too. Worth the trip from Delray.

Stopped in for drinks and apps during happy hour. The Sangria was not only great, it was a little meal itself with all sorts of fruit on the rim. Then the Kefte. Never had Kefte before and this was incredible. Highly recommend and suggest the bar where Humberto rules and loves to chat.

First timer....with mom...Friday afternoon...mom had the spinach pie with phyllo dough. She loved it! I had the ethos salad with chicken...apples, nuts, grilled to perfection chicken. I really enjoyed the entire salad. I actually took a picture of it. There was a ton of chicken. Second time..with husband...Saturday night. We both had the yogurt/cucumber spread and it was great. We also both enjoyed the ethos salad (me again) with grilled chicken. Weird to me was that the lunch portion that I had the day before had triple the chicken than our dinner portion, and the added chicken for dinner was $5 as opposed to the $3 extra for lunch. I did think the dinner portion would be the same, certainly not less. It was delicious though. I'll be back, but probably for lunch! A very nice addition to the Promenade which has been less that inviting. Service was great and both times the servers were very friendly and attentive.

I called two days before we wanted to eat here and discussed my families allergy issues. The very nice assistant manager said he could easily take care of my family. It was not such a big deal to not marinate our proteins however on the 7 of us were to go there I got the don't come phone call. They could not work with modifying our proteins by not adding garlic or other things. WE had to change all our plans and go somewhere else. I would not trust this restaurant to take care of anyone with gluten issues or food allergies...they really don't know how to leave out spices? REALLY ARE YOU KIDDING ME....almost any restaurant that says they can do gluten free can figure out how to modify a meal....

Loved this place! Went for the first time with a few friends. The sampler spread with warm pita was perfect for a light appetizer! The artichoke chicken with rosemary potatoes was delicious! Service was great...loved the entire experience!

I was with a colleague at world of beer nearby and was able to order in food from Ethos which was rather monstrous given that we only spent 15/person. The spreads and meat platter were comfort food. It simply hit the spot - well seasoned and fork tender.

I eat out at a lot of restaurants and this is one of the best I have been to. I'm not familiar with Greek food so I didn't know what I was in for but after the first bite I was a believer. The food was amazing! Everything was cooked and seasoned perfectly. The staff was also very friendly. Our waiter was very attentive, knowledgeable about the food and really took his job seriously. He took time to explain all the specials and questions about the dishes I was interested in. This is definitely a top notch place. I will be going back again.

I was incredibly impressed and pleased with this restaurant. The service was phenomenal. One small example: the manager sat us and I saw a small speck of dust, something on my plate. I brushed off the speck and the manager grabbed the plate immediately and gave me a new one. Didn't say anything. Our drinks were consistently refilled. Order was prompt. And the food. Holy moly! The lemon chicken soup, delicious. I'm Greek, that soup is in my blood. Delicious. The Erhos platter, with gyros meat. To die for. Worth the money, great portions. The atmosphere is elegant and clean. Literally loved the place, and I feel it's hard to impress me. Will absolutely go back.

I went to eat the other night with my father in law, mother in law and my 5 YEAR OLD son ... We ate OUTSIDE and is a shame that I can not go back anymore because the manager was VERY UPSET that I brought my son 5 chicken nuggets from mcdonalds. (mind you we were in the corner) When I told him that my son will not eat greek food his answer was "we have fries" LMAO so I should feed my son FRIES ONLY for dinner. I think not. It is ok to have your dogs dine with you but as for me bringing 5 chicken nuggets for my 5 year old, thats not OK.... I will not be going back....

Probably the worst Greek food I have ever had unfortunately. I heard this place was very good but all four of us were seriously disappointed. Food extremely oily. Lamb Chops fatty and undercooked....had to be sent back and they still did not get it right. Go to Estia, Anatolia or Taverna Kyma before going here.

Trendy, Greek dining, in both decor and menu selection. Very different from more traditional Greek restaurants. Small plates were overpriced, but overall, all the dishes tasted great. I recommend the Surf & Turf (Lamb & Shrimp). It was accompanied with freshly grilled zucchini and Portabello.

Good Food but very slow service. Sat outside -beautiful day. Went with our three kids since we were there at a festival in the promenade. With such a big event you would think that they would have planned for more staff. Took forever to get check. Not sure if we will return --maybe without kids.

Ethos is terrific! Went for a "girl's night out" & were very happy. The menu is varied & interesting, the appetizers are a great starter & the baklava is to DIE for. Just be sure to share the baklava since it is to HUGE & very sweet! Don't be swayed by the "beer & wine only". They have a FULL BAR! Outside dining is great if the weather is good. GO! ENJOY! OOMPAH!!!!

I liked the atmosphere in this place. It was fairly busy for a Monday night. Had a good glass of red wine. Service was great, but I wish I could say the same for the food. I had the saga ski, which was tasty, and the chicken with artichoke sauce, way over sauced and overpriced.

Underwhelmed. The salad had a hair in it. Ugh. They apologized but did not offer any items to be comped. I ordered Branzini and was told 20 minutes later that they were out of it. I substituted with Salmon which was over cooked and dry. I will not be returning.

**The best Tzaziki (Cucumber Sauce) I have ever tasted in my life.** I wrote an in-depth review on this restaurant on Urban spoon. This was easily the most pleasurable eating or lounge experience in The Promenade. It's going to be a DEFINITE hit in there. I sometimes go to World Of Beer, but now there's also a place to go if I just want to eat good food, have a glass of wine, and enjoy great people around. Their staff is as friendly as it gets. They ask for constructive criticism (a sign of a place that will be around for a long time), but honestly my experience didn't warrant any criticism at all. The one thing I ask when you walk in here is to notice the aura; Just the relaxed & enjoyable feeling that you get when you are greeted when you walk in. For me, that always adds extra seasoning to the food. This place has POTENTIAL and If the manager is as smart as he is nice (which from talking to him, I think he is) this place can be the marquee restaurant of The Promenade. I will be a frequent visitor to this place (partly because I live down the street on Sample & Lyons lol), But after you come here, I think you will be too. PS - The Chicken Skewers & Tzatziki/Cucumber Sauce are exceptional.

Don't know how to put this kindly but, I waited an 1/2 an hour for lamb chops after my dinner guest's meal came. Then was told the kitchen had made an error and my meal would be right out. It finally came out RAW. So not only did I wait an hour for my meal (which I didn't even eat but was charged for) they didn't even have the common sense to cook it correctly. No Manager came over because they were too caught up in impressing a table that had just finished a photo shoot inside the restaurant. I own three restaurants and would NEVER let a guest leave as upset as I was.

Went for lunch on NYE and had a great experience. We ordered the Spinach Pie, the Kefte and the platter with gyro meat and it was all delicious. Had to ask for tzatziki but it came out quickly and was delicious. Everything was great - the Spinach Pie was a great portion size, as was the Kefte. The lunch platter had plenty of meat on it and the salad was very fresh. My only complaint was the pita was not fresh at all.

As I said previously, I did go back again with a different acquaintance - tried the Dako again, and this time the barley husk was delicious. We also shared shrimp saganiki and the rapini. The shrimp was tasty, if somewhat smaller than I have had in other Greek restaurants, and the rabe was perfectly sauteed - however, minus the Greek olives our server told us was part of the dish. My only reservation that staff is apparently still training - questions to two of the servers were answered with "I don't know - this is my first time on the floor". Since the restaurant was packed with a large lunchtime shopping crowd, I suspect there was an "all-hands on deck" call for service; it's just my opinion that management does not put inexperienced staff on the floor alone - at least pair them with someone who can answer the customer's questions. The bottom line in the food business: know your menu. Secondly, if someone doesn't know the answer - the the phrase, "I don't know - but I will find out for you immediately" should be the first thing out of their mouth." Again, all in all, these may just be "growing pains" and I would not hesitate to go back.

Now they are fully open and in full swing and the quality of the good has not diminished. We went last night with another couple. First, our menu, grilled octopus, sampler spread platter and keffe for appetizers. I had the rosemary pork loin and my girlfriend had the moussaka. Everything was wonderful. The chef shows an exquisite understanding of the use of spice and flavorings and mixes them to create a sensation with each bite that is pleasurable to the pallet. The spicy feta cheese spread was exquisite, with enough spice and a exceptionally smooth and non bitter feta cheese that reminded me of feta cheese that I had in Greece. The hummus could have used more garlic and lemon, but that is a personal preference. My friend who was with me commented that he does not normally like hummus but found it excellent. The tzaitki was perfect in my opinion with just the right amount of lemon and garlic. My pork loin with lemon was served with roasted potatoes and green beans. The meat was cooked nicely, although for my tastes it could have been spent a few fewer minutes in the oven. The potatoes and the sauce were excellent. and the portion was large enough that I could not finish it. The moussaka was excellent although somewhat nontraditional in that the eggplant was not layer in but chopped. The only comment I heard on it was that it could have used more eggplant, but the flavoring and the bechemel sauce were excellent. My friend had the rebel lamb which he devoured down to the last morsel and his wife tasted and commented "I thought i had made good lamp, then I tasted this and mine is not that good anymore." She had the chicken artichoke which she enjoyed greatly. The service was very attentive with our waiter checking in enough to make sure we were happy but not being too obtrusive along with the manager / owner? coming by to check on our meal. The decor is modern, clean and attractive. The staff well dressed and very polite. The tables are large enough to enjoy your meal and your friends and not so close to on another that you feel crowded. It is good to see that after about 2 months (less?) the place is crowded. This restaurant will be a success in my opinion and is definitely worth a visit.

Great ambiance and drinks to go along! Personal favorite is the sangria because of all the fruit that comes along with it. Being a vegan, this place is fantastic because I know I can enjoy my food, and the guest I bring along always can too! I always recommend the stuffed grape leaves as well, best I've found out of any Greek place around here.

Great spot with both inside and outside seating, complete with heaters if needed on those frozen tundra South Florida nights! I have now been here 3 times, once for lunch, one time just for cocktails, and this last time for cocktails and some appies. Most amazing pita bread I think I've ever eaten, I could totally just eat this with olive oil and/or hummus and be over the moon with happiness Furthermore, they have fantastic craft cocktails, I always have the one with the pear puree and the jalapenos, it's delicious. This time I tried their lemon chicken soup, which was really delicious. At night, they have a tapas menu priced b/w $6--$8 so you can get a mix of things and share. The one ODD/stupid thing is they DO have TV's but they aren't hooked up to cable?????...so we would've stayed longer IF they were operational but the FINS game was on and their TV's don't work....we took our business elsewhere. Deducted a star for that foolishness.

I ordred takeout and was very impressed with the speed my order arrived in. I had the rebel lamb in parchment and it was delicious. The flavors were awesone however I would have enjoyed more lamb and less starchy veggies. The spanakopita was good. I must say for an "authentic" Greek restaurant the Greek salad was anything but. I do not feel the love when my salad has spring greens as a base, few tomatos, fewer kalmatas, a smattering of cucumbers, a wedge of feta, no greek oregano and oil and vinegar for a dressing. I have eaten at many a Greek eatery and greens do not a Greek salad make. Overall the food is passable but pricey. I would suggest more attention to the food menu and less emphasis on the martinis. A place to meetup with friends for apps and a drink in the balmy spring night.

I have never been a fan of any of the restaurants in the Promenade & I have watched quite a few come and go. So when Ethos opened about two years ago I just figured it would be like the rest of them. I was so wrong. This restaurant is excellent. It was a night of 3 firsts for me. I finally met Sue & Michael B, I tried out this restaurant & I tried octopus for the very first time (and I loved it). I was looking forward to a night with my Yelp friends, including Diane & Clyde N. This was the perfect restaurant to have a fun dinner with great people. Thanks to Sue for picking the restaurant. I ordered the Gold Group Dining meal, which is like a tasting menu. It gave me the opportunity to try a lot of different things without breaking the bank. The dining meal is served family style & they don't hold back. For $25 per person this is a great deal because everything is fresh and homemade. The Gold menu included spreads, salad, spinach pie & a meat platter. Spread Sampler: garlicky hummus & tzatziki , spicy creamy feta with roasted red peppers and a grilled eggplant spread that had walnuts, onions & feta. All of these spreads were delicious. My favorite was the spicy red pepper feta. The accompanying pita bread was great. Ethos Salad: baby arugula & lettuce, red cabbage, green apples, walnuts, gorgonzola cheese and it was all tossed in a very good balsamic dressing. I didn't eat very much of the salad only because I was so engrossed with the spread sampler. I would definitely order the salad again but maybe as a meal. Spinach Pie: very very good. Meat Platter: gyro meat, grilled chicken, pork tenderloin, grilled kefte and the most delicious lamb chops. All the meats were cooked perfectly. The meat was served with rice & Greek potatoes. I highly recommend the lamb chops. I took a picture of the mussels because they looked delicious. I want to order them next time. Sue & Michael ordered the char grilled octopus & encouraged me to try it. I was pleasantly surprised that I really liked it a lot! To me it tasted a little like lobster & scallops & its a healthy choice. I knew before I even stepped foot in this restaurant that I wanted to get the Galakto for dessert. OMG this was ridiculously good. The warm creamy custard was wrapped in phyllo dough and honey was drizzled on the top. Excellent! Ron provided us with great service & he was very accommodating. When he presented us with the Spread Sampler he made sure to tell us that the hummus & tzatziki were both garlicky. Whenever we needed something he was never far away. Next time I go I will ask to sit in his section. Prices were very reasonable, the food was outstanding and the service was wonderful. Ethos is a great place for a nice meal with friends or a date night. They are open for lunch & they also have takeout. I am looking forward to going back.

Went here for dinner before going to the movies at the new silver spot. I ordered the steak thinking "who can ever make steak taste bad". As an avid carnivore, I was sadly disappointed in my entree that cost over 20 dollars. Not to say everyone thinks it's bad, I just do.. There was no taste I liked in the steak and it wasn't that nice grilled/cook steak I'm used to seeing. It looked more like how a tuna steak looks cooked. My husband was satisfied with the chicken he ordered. I usually love having a drink during dinner, but the server was talking to other employees at the hall near where the kitchen is for a pretty good amount of time so I just decided not to order. He server even asked me what movie is good because tonight is slow for a Friday. Overall maybe I didn't order the write entree, but I would not come back for dinner, maybe happy hour since I have not tried their drinks yet

Still my go to place. I come here usually once a week. Food is fresh, service is great and the location can't be beat. They have a great wine list and delicious custom drinks. The food: I've had so many things off the menu. The most notable is the kefte, moussaka and salads. Give it a try you won't be disappointed

Love this place! They have great lunch and holy hour specials. The food here never disappoints. Recently, I visited with some co worker for lunch. I had the chicken lunch . It was great.. It also came with salad, rice and pita bread. The service was wonderful. They filled our glasses with water and were able to provide each of us with individual checks (and didn't complain). The cheese app is such a great item, they literally bring it out in flames! We will be back!

A first rate experience. The Greek beer, Mythos, is the best European beer that I have tasted. We each had a Greek salad, which was excellent. Ambiance was quiet, an attraction, since some of the other bistros in the same center cater to the younger crowd with loud music. Why customers would want to shout across lunch is a mystery to me. Recommended highly.

First of all, my review is very objective since I've tried many kinds of hummus and gyro. The hummus wasn't good, too much garlic. They brought our food cold, the gyro wasn't nothing special. Doesn't worth $16. The portions are big we share our plate. The atmosphere is nice and clean. although it was hard for me to see that tiny room where they wash the plates I felt bad for the guy.

I went to Ethos with my family and, for the most part, was thrilled with that decision. I'm a huge fan of Greek restaurants that don't serve gyros. Our server was very good, always filling up waters/iced teas, and bringing food out at a good rate (we ordered a lot of things to share). Cheese Saganaki: Was very underwhelmed by this. Usually there's tableside service when it comes to Saganaki - put the alcohol on the cheese and light it on fire. There was none and it wasn't even sizzling when it came out. The flavor was good though. Eggplant Smash: Everyone else enjoyed this a lot more than I did. I just don't think the flavors melded enough. The red onion was chopped too coarsely and stuck out too much. Grilled Calamari: I'm a huge fan of grilled calamari, and this one was decent. It was cooked perfectly and the flavors were good, but it only had rings. I'm a big fan of the tentacles and was disappointed that none were included. Grilled Octopus: Cooked perfectly and was delicious! Orzo Paella: the seafood was cooked perfectly. Flavors were great. It was so nice to have a different kind of dish with tons of seafood. Rebel Lamb: coming for seafood (clear by the last three listed), I was delighted to see a different kind of lamb on the menu. Unlike the Saganaki, this presentation was lovely and tasted great as well. Overall, I will definitely come back when I'm down in Florida visiting Grandma again. I really enjoyed most of what I ate.

My family and I have been eating here since the first week it was open. The food has always been fantastic and consistent along with the service. I live just a little over a mile away and we have been in need of a fine dining establishment like this for many years now. Whether my wife and I visit for just a few drinks at the bar or we meet family and friends it's always a success.

Just tried this place yesterday, It was mid afternoon on Saturday and seemed quite busy. It was busy, because its great! I had the gyro platter and it was amazing. I visited Ethos for the first time with a friend for girls night out. Loved the atmosphere although it was a little loud for as intimate as it was announced to be. The food was at a reasonable price and tasty, although the wine gave me a headache the next day "I have never paid so much for a headache in my life" was the line I used. Regardless of the super busy night the staff was experiencing, our service was exceptional.

This is a long overdue review considering the absolutely fantastic food, service and atmosphere. The wife and I had despaired of finding a truly great Greek restaurant in South Florida. I am sure there are others out there, but we haven't uncovered them quite yet. Except for Ethos. I just regret I don't live closer so I could go more often. First, don't let their references to being modernized take on Greek cuisine put you off; this doesn't prevent them from serving hearty, soulful food. And while my wife's dish was a bit more "fusion", I opted for the good 'ol Gyro, and it was a great traditional version. I was a bit worried when I walked in. Don't get me wrong, everything was nice. A bit TOO nice -- I'm used to homestyle, a bit worn looking Greek Taverna style places. This isn't. It's thoroughly So Fla, with modernist interiors, sleek white furni, chill music et. all. But again, this pleasant atmosphere didn't come with the caveat of it being fake Greek, so I quickly appreciated being able to have my traditional Greek plates in such a nice ambience. As mentioned, the Gyro was great. Likewise, my wife's Shrimp Scampi (with a fusion of Greek and Italian spices) was both delicious and modern as promised. Likewise her Ethos salad was quite good. The Baklava. Ok, here's where you know you've got something special. It was perhaps the best I've ever had. The presentation is fine-dining style and not traditional. But the taste is soulful. It was nutty, sweet without being sickly, the filo was light and crispy layer after layer. They also didn't use rosewater; this might be a sticking point with some traditionalists, but while I love baklava it is the aspect I've always enjoyed least and so appreciated the lack of that potpourri element to the taste. As you probably can tell, I can't recommend Ethos highly enough.

Trendy Greek food at its finest. Great atmosphere and service by Mimi makes this an enjoyable experience in Coconut Creek. The portions are plentiful and the prices very good. Love Ethos! I've been here a bunch of times, but this is my first review... Ambiance: Ethos is a modern take on Greek food. Familiar Greek flavors and ingredients, served with a modern twist (maybe I should copyright that phrase? haha). Staff: Plentiful and friendly. Always attentive. I've never had an issue. *side story... during this visit we opted to sit inside since it was at least 176 degrees outside, so there was a 10min wait. The young man took my number and said he would call/text when ready. We walked around the shopping center and apparently one of the stores we entered killed our cell signal. We went back to Ethos about 10min later and got a slightly attitude-y "I called you like three times". Showed him my phone and explained we didn't receive a call/text, but it could have been the lack of signal... he smiled and showed us to our table. Ok, back to the review... :) Food: Amazing and large servings! They have this lunch platter I usually get since its HUGE and has just about everything I like, but this time opted for their Garden Salad and added grilled squid. A M A Z I N G. The salad is loaded with grilled veggies (zucchini, portobello mushrooms, bell peppers), topped with a huge chunk of Greek cheese, and covered in a tasty dressing. The squid rings were grilled to perfection, which made me happy since it is VERY easy to over-cook squid, which makes it all rubbery. My friend was insanely hungry so he ordered the regular Garden Salad and Grilled Steak Pita. Don't know how he fit all that food in his belly, but said it was all amazing. Definitely give this place a try!

I had a yearning for some decent Greek food so I Yelped around and hit upon Ethos Greek Bistro which turned out to be a fortunate find. Located in the "E" section of the Promenade at Coconut Creek I was at first leery, but then I'm always leery of any restaurant located within a shopping mall, though I shouldn't be. Walking in I was immediately taken by its rather simplistic but up to date modern décor balance against a faux ruin...which is where they take a new wall but make it look like an early masonry chipped plaster falling off of brick or stone. Though they have a pleasant outside patio and sidewalk seating arrangement, I opted for the indoor where I was immediately greeted and seated. The service staff that attended my table were knowledgeable, superlatively friendly in a well-mannered fashion and helpful. Of their dinner menu, which I found to be rather complete in its offerings, I opted for the grilled sashimi grade Mediterranean octopus as an appetizer and for an entrée, their 36 hour marinated lamb chops. Also to accompany my dinner a glass of red Greek Nemea Reserve plus a glass of red Greek Agiorgitiko wines. When the octopus came, it turned out to be some of the most tender I've ever experienced along with a decent char flavor though for me somewhat under seasoned. However, if you like octopus, I wouldn't have any reservations in recommending it. The lamb came served perfectly as ordered; in my case rare, along with a nicely char grilled red pepper, some zucchini, roasted potato and good size Portobello mushroom. Greeks have a good way of doing lamb, and their lamb proved itself not to be an exception to that general observation since it was tender, juicy and full of good flavor. As for the Greek wines, though I found the Agiorgitiko lacking of a sustaining taste to the palate and symmetrical unbalance in flavor, relatively good, and the Nemea to be outstanding with a deep distinctive complexity. Though I preferred the later, I would either as good choices. I was really pleased with both my meal and service at Ethos, found their prices to be very reasonable with the food quality being just as good as many of the higher priced Greek, such as Thasos, restaurants.

I go to Ethos pretty regularly for business lunches. It's convenient to my home office and their food and service are outstanding. The décor of Ethos is modern, clean and mostly white. The main bar is very pretty and is always busy. (unfortunately I don't get to the bar here as I'm mostly here for business lunches). Their food is authentically greek, always fresh and they will accommodate just about any special request. I love their greek salad - I always get it topped with a protein - sometimes grilled calamari, other times grilled chicken or steak. Their gyro is delicious and GIANT. Their pitas are fresh made. They have an appetizer plate of different spreads that you can get with pita to start - a great way to try some different things. I've had their mixed grilled meat platter once - amazing. Their chicken has so much flavor and is never dry. Their fish is always fresh. I only had one bad experience here with service - that was during a holiday fair and they were clearly under staffed. During season, and I believe on weekend nights, they have valet parking.

Yes! I'am a regular here! I just really enjoy their food more than a lot! I'm in Greek paradise right now! What to say!?! So good!!! The dip sampler is to die for!!! Baba ghanoush has nuts in it!?!?! Yes, that good! This cool Greek eatery with a cool and modern decoration is located in the charming Promenade Mall in Coconut Creek. It has a pleasant outside area that combined with their great customer service makes you feel compelled to just sit around and enjoy lunch, dinner, after dinner, etc... They are tastefully decorated with clean and modern lines. Their portions are beyond generous and you could say that quantity is very distinct to quality, but in their case you are the great winner, because they provide you with both, quality and quantity. I always start with their dip sample, it has baba ghanoush (eggplant spread with a twist: they add walnuts to it!), feta cheese and hot spice, hummus, and tzatziki (greek yogurt, cucumber, garlic). It comes with hot pita bread, and it isjust like a welcome to Greek paradise reception! All four spreads have very distinctive taste, but their combination instigates your taste buds to get ready to a good gastronomical experience. My other favorite is the pork sampler, it comes with a juicy and soft chunks of pork marinated to perfection at the right temperature, with moist rice, Greek salad, tzatziki, and potatos (you can choose between their roasted and Greek fries). If you are not a big eater I suggest you come with somebody else to share it because it is BIG! Their beef keftedes are also so well seasoned! To me the secret of a good meat is the cut and the seasoning, the perfect combination of spices that will enhance your pleasure tasting it. And man so far they mastered it to me with their pork and Greek meatballs. They also have a good selection of Greek wines to accompany all this feast and get you to a great mood to adventure eating their desserts. I have to admit that although I am a regular there, I still haven't had the chance (more like space in my stomach) to try their desserts! I get myself so caught up savoring their appetizer and main dishes that by the time it's dessert time I cannot do it! I always regret that, but it seems like a viscous cycle or an addicted act of not being able to stop eating their delicious food. Yes, my name is Adriana and I'm addicted to Ethos Food! (lolol) Bookmark this one and when in town stop by to try it! Opa!

Can I just tell you how much I love this place?! The first couple times I had been there were great but no where near as impressive as the last few times we've come. We have been asking for Crystal as our server and have even waited (on a no wait night) to sit in her section. She is the epitome of great service. She anticipates your needs before you even think about asking for it! She is super sweet and very attentive (but not obnoxious attentive like some servers can be lol) She also made my husband and I feel so special on our anniversary night. The food is really good but I'd definitely put the service above the food because it's that good! Go eat some delicious Greek food and have yummy cocktails but most importantly ASK FOR CRYSTAL!

It was the morning of our 15th anniversary and my wife surprised me with a watch, the modern gift for this occasion. After a quick Google search I remarked, "Wouldn't it be funny if our waitress is named Crystal?", which is the traditional 15th anniversary present. I had planned on taking her to a nice Italian restaurant for lunch, but none in the area seemed authentic. We lived in Rome, Italy for three years, and have very high expectations on that. We decided to go back to Ethos Greek Bistro, this time just the two of us, no kids or dog. We also had a nice time perusing the Promenade, smelling the Yankee Candles and tasting different olive oils and balsamics at Lovin' Olive. When we sat down at Ethos, a lovely girl with star tattoos walked up and said "Hello, I'm Crystal and I'll be your waitress today!", and we busted out laughing. Crystal was bewildered until we explained it was our 15th anniversary, and then she quickly recovered and hopefully didn't think we were totally nuts! We promptly ordered a chardonnay, the Nemea red, and dolmades appetizer which was an excellent way to kick off the celebration. For my main course I had kefte and fried calamari. My wife chose the gyro lunch platter. Everything tasted great, and the size of the calamari and gyro plates were much larger than expected. For dessert we had two excellent, euro-quality cappuccini and a dish recommended by Crystal, I think it was the Ekmek, which was delicious and beautifully presented! Overall, the atmosphere was lively, the service was wonderful, the food and wine were excellent. And Crystal made everything special. We couldn't have picked a better place to celebrate our anniversary!

The food is good. We are outside and the weather was beautiful. Our waiter was polite. Also, our food came out pretty fast. My daughter and I ate here, although they did not have kids menu, she still enjoyed her meal. She had a chicken skewer with a side of potato wedges. I had calamari (my cravings) and a chicken caesar salad. The calamari was delicious. This place is awesome for lunch and dinner. However if you choose eat outside be ready to be annoyed by flies. They saw that I kept waving them away and brought a fan out. I felt like that was nice gesture without me having to ask.

This is the 2nd review of Ethos and I can say is it is very similar to my first review. Excellent. My wife enjoyed the mussels that's were fresh and very delicious I enjoyed they're very big and juicy ribeye that was cooked to perfection! Everytime we come here it is worth the wait and we have been attended the last couple of times by a very attentive, knowledgeable an excellent waitress Susan! She goes above and beyond with her service and always recommends the best on the menu. Great food /drinks, great atmosphere and great service the trifecta for a very excellent restaurant!

A great late lunch spot with delicious fresh authentic Greek cuisine! From the homemade bread to their incredible salads or a specialty entree this is the place you want to eat your Greek food at! Our server Matt was great, attentive. courteous and always stopping by the table to check on us! I began with an authentic Greek beer called Mythos. It was good and very refreshing. I ordered the Kefte platter which comes with rice, potatoes that are roasted a Greek salad and taziki sauce with pita bread. Mine was absolutely fantastic! Dad ordered the lollipop lamb chops(the smaller portion, 3 chops) It looked delicious and came with freshly roasted zucchini, red pepper, portobella mushroom and potatoes or rice. We were stuffed and had to skip the greek coffee and baklava...next time we will save room! Thanks for the outstanding meal! I also want to add how nice it was to see Susan again. I havent seen her for a few years and there she was waiting tables and seemed to be doing a fine job! Shes a great waitress as was our server Matt!!

This is my second such visit to Ethos Greek Restaurant, and I like this place. On this latest visit, my guest and I shared two appetizers: grilled calamari and hummus with pita chips. I liked the grilled calamari, which I covered with lemon juice. I thought the hummus was ordinary. I also had two martini drinks. The first was called a sweet and spicy. I liked this one a lot. It tasted like those red-hot candies we used to eat as children. The second martini was a watermelon-inspired drink. That one was okay, but I would certainly order the sweet and spicy one again. All in all, a pleasant visit. Our bartender lady was very helpful in guiding our decisions. So skilled was she that we were easily persuaded to order some baklava mixed with a chocolate cheese cake on top of it. Happy to say it was a good way to end the meal. I'm sure I'll return from time to time.

This place is honestly one of the most consistently great restaurants in coconut creek. Every time I go, I get great service, and the gyro platter is full of flavor. The ambiance is great and the prices are fair for the amount and quality of the food you get. I'm tough to please and this place is a home run.

Greek and you are around? Ethos is the place... Everything Everything is amazing here... my favorite is the zuchini croquetes I ordered every time we go (at least once a month)... the spreads are amazing, the sampler with lamb, chicken, potatoes, salad to share is great... and the wine... they have great wine selection and cheap... alll of them are great... Of course you need to close your meal with a homemade baklava OMG delicious

I recently returned, as mentioned before, for my 21st birthday (just kidding about the age) and it was fabulous! My friend and I both had the Bronzini, which was divine ... the kale salad was heavenly, too. Of course there was wine: Oyster Bay New Zealand Sauvignon Blanc and cocktails; specifically, the Cucumber Twist ... amazing! I always get the Octopus appetizer as it is outstanding! Dessert was my usual; The Greek Super Yogurt, which is house made yogurt with black mission figs, goji berries, walnuts, and thyme honey ... I'm drooling right now, thinking about it ... actually, next time I will order a second to go for my breakie. I cannot say enough about the service ... the bartenders were amazing. The bar was totally full and they still made time to be extremely attentive and kind. I thank Ethos and George, the manager, for an amazing birthday dinner I will not soon, forget!

The Greek food here is pretty good. It's located in The Promenade along with other restaurants and shops. There's about a 30-40 min. wait for a table, which they'll text you when it's available, so you can shop around. The eggplant smash was ok. I didn't think it would be so sour. It's very lemony. I couldn't taste the eggplant at all. The spinach pies were ok. The phyllo was flaky and filled with lots of spinach. I preferred the mini mousakas. It's like a meat pie, with potatoes, zucchini, eggplant, ground meat. The ambiance and decor is very nice. This place is great for a fancy dinner date or group dinner. The outdoor heated lamps are perfect for chilly nights.

Wow! What a great lunch & super server (Krystal) at this place. We were just there this past Sunday & had a wonderful experience - lemon chicken soup, great...two Salads, great...baklava & espresso. Fun friendly vibe with indoor & outdoor seating - clean trendy indoor decor, casual outdoor...great music, and no noisy (embarrassing) belly dancers. And a really, REALLY value priced menu...get there! You'll like, I promise!

I have heard nothing but excellent reviews about this restaurant located in the Promenade. Finally tried it this weekend and I wasn't let down. It was a Saturday afternoon so we had delicious mimosas and sangria for drinks and for entree I had their lamb platter and my boyfriend had their gyro. meals were delicious and I can not wait to visit again!

Took the family out to celebrate my wife's birthday. Excellent food, service and price range. My only complaint is that the gyro lamb slices were crunchy firm skin like pieces.....obviously the first cut on the spinning meat block....oh well can't have it all. Some people probably love that cut. I would go again.

Decent food. Our group had to wait to have 'our name called' for an hour and as an apology , Ethos served us two appetizer sampler. (Pretty nice gesture). Their rice is absolutely delicious . So are their stuffed grape leaves. Very loud atmosphere that you have to yell across the table. Not much WOW factor involved.

Love the vibe here but the food is not 5 star. I would say it's a great spot for drinks and small plates. When I did order my drink the waiter asked for ID and then brought it to the back to get scanned, which I thought was odd. Then the manager brought my ID out and held it up to my face to confirm it was me. That was just weird. Antonio was our waiter and he was very helpful and friendly. I also loved his accent and face.

We ordered the Gold Group Dining meal - salad, spreads, spinach pie, and a meat platter - each was better than the other! We actually packed each course as the meal was served - who could eat all of this? (See the pics - lot of food, right?) Well, in time we will!!!

Went here for the first time last night!! I went here with my friend who also had never been here before We had absolutely no idea what to order. Our server, Josh, ended up helping us navigate the menu and made some amazing recommendations. If you get the chance, I would request him as your server! He is amazing! Not to mention the food was absolutely delicious!! I will definitely come back here many more times. Really amazing Greek food

After hearing about Ethos on Yelp. I decided to stop by with the family in between soccer games during a tournament. We ordered a salad and the octupus to start. The sald was good. Everything was fresh, there is nothing I hate more than mushy tomatoes and that was not the case. The salad was big enough for all four of us and the dressing was simple but tasty. The octopus was grilled. It was tasty and beat of all it was tender. For main I had the lamb chops. My sons had the gyros and my wife had the gyro platter. Everything was delicious. I waited patiently for the gyro meat to fall out of my sons gyro and quickly went in to pick up the fallen pieces. The gyro meat was very tasty and juicy. My youngest is usually the problamatic eater. He finished his gyro before my other son did. My other son I call the garbage disposal because there is nothing he wont eat. Overall it was great. I was especially impressed with the Greek wines. I had an awesome Greek cabarnet that was incredible. We were in a bit of a rush so we skipped desert but we will be back. I look forward to coming back and exploring more of the menu. Overall location, service and our experience was great.

First time here. Read all the reviews and gave it a try. I was impressed the food was excellent and they give you a lot for your money. The special drinks they make are awesome everyone should definitely have one. I had the watermelon one and it was excellent. Definitely coming back.

I want to explain why I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. i would actually give 4.5 if I could but here goes: Why have a restroom with one toilet? There were 4 women on a line outside the door. That seems a bit odd for a restaurant although other restaurants in the promenade are the same way. So more importantly food and service. Both were super. Sat outside and was able to get a table right away. Server was attentive and food came out really fast. The bread and olive oil is such a nice touch as well. I had the gyro platter and my sister had the salmon. Both plates are a LOT of food. There are so many things on the menu i want to try and i will make a point to come back and check out the lemon chicken soup and some of the yummy looking salads.

This place is fantastic. I do not normally give five stars but I could not have hoped for a more perfectly prepared meal and environment. I had the spread sampler appetizer all of the spreads were perfect and I had the Gyro platter which was extremely fresh with just the right amount of seasoning done to perfection. The drink menu is also on point. Plenty of delicious selections some of the people in my party had the mojitos which are all freshly muddled and prepared perfectly I had the vodka martini and it was spot on. I would definitely recommend this place with no hesitation.

This is probably the best restaurant in the promenade. I say this because the food is pretty good and it's consistently good. When it's available, the moussaka is absolutely delicious. The ethos platter (meat up to your choosing, I like gyro) is large, tasty and almost feels like a sample platter. I like the fact that you have the option of eating outside, as well. The inside does tend to feel a little crowded. There is often a wait, but they will call you when your table is ready, so you can walk around the promenade or have a drink instead of sitting around. The seafood orzo paella is awesome. The broth is very, very flavorful...buttery and seafood-y. I really like their hummus and spreads, as well. I honestly haven't had anything here I haven't liked. Even their lamb was great and I don't usually care for it.

Can't believe it took me this long to write a review. My husband and I have been coming to Ethos for years. I've had just about everything on the menu at least once, and it's all fantastic. The standout entrées for me are the Rebel lamb (so tender and flavorful), and the salmon which is always cooked perfectly and has a lovely sauce. They don't have the feta and olives appetizer on the menu anymore, but you can still order it. They make their own feta, and it's delicious. Love sitting outside when the weather is nice, because it can get a bit loud inside. The service is outstanding. The bar can be busy when there's a wait for a table, but you can leave your cell number with the hostess and grab a drink at the wine bar or wob nearby. You can't go wrong with a meal here, and it's one of my favorite restaurant's in Broward.

We have been coming to ethos for about a year now, I would write a longer review but I can sum it up in a few sentences. The staff is always attentive and helpful, the food has been excellent, the drinks are excellent, and the atmosphere of ethos added to that make it one of my favorite places to eat in south Florida.

This is a really delicious place and definitely worth a visit. My first suggestion - if you are someone who loves to drink beer with your meal, go sit at World of Beer and have them deliver to you. They only serve one beer here, and while it is an imported beer I'm sure is good, if you want variety and to eat light, sitting at WOB and coming here is your best bet. This is also definitely one of the best places in the promenade. Try the Zesty Creamy Feta spread - it's amazing. The pita bread is super yummy, but you may have to order more which will cost you $2. This annoys me minorly, but it's worth it. Their salads and seafood are good, and really anything with the manouri cheese is the way to go. My favorite dish was the cheese flambe - a delicious circle of 'grilled' cheese with pita bread. It's delicious. The calamari was well cooked and well seasoned, but not something I would run back for. The shrimp scampi I would skip - there weren't enough shrimp and the feta didn't go particularly well with it and over-powered the shrimp. Sitting outside is nice - considering it's in a shopping area, it's an incredibly nice atmosphere. The service is always amazing. It would be a great place to pick up take out as well!

This place is a scam. Overpriced and nasty. I called ahead to check on the wait...they said no wait and tables available. When I arrived 5 minutes later it was a 30 minute wait....and there were 3 managers..each equally nasty. Stay away from Ethos....

  • Paulette T.

I was really disappointed, given the great reviews. Had take out of eggplant smash appetizer and combo Ethos platter. Eggplant included raw onions and feta cheese (should have read the fine print)--unusual. The yogurt sauce also seemed overly spiced. Not usual Greek items I expected . The pita was excellent. Now I'm suspicious about those reviews since many are excessively lengthy Why would a customer take all that time to describe their experience?

Decided to give this place a shot after stopping for bad service and sub par meals and we are thrilled they seem back to former glory. They changed the calamari and it is delicious, pulpo back to delicious favorite. We've had a couple good consistent meals and staff couldn't be better.

Excellent greek food at extremly reasonable prices and with generous portions....is why this is now one of my favorite lunch places. We came for lunch on MLK, and got here slightly before the rush around noon, which is advisible as this place fills up quickly. I ordered the chicken platter whch comes with 3 small chicken breasts, roasted potato, salad, spinach rice, and tatzki.....all for only $9. Everything was delicious. My wife ordered the gyro platter and it was really good as well. We also ordered the greek salad, which is a good size, and comes with a large chunk of feta. Service was excellent, overall, with a minor annoyance when the host said there was not enoigh seating outside, even though tables were stacked and could have asily beem set up. However this waa made up for when the manager brought us a grata expresso, after a minor spill. Highly recommend and certain to return.

first time here & i'll definately be back. i love greek food & i love fresh, healthy food. the combination of the two are even better! i had the grilled chicken salad. it comes with a dill cucumber dressing that was outstanding! they also have $5 drink specials all day, every day until 5pm. i had the spritz. very refreshing & not too sweet. they have inside or outside dining. heaters in winter & big fans in summer. i wish this place was closer to home. i'd be here every day!

I LOVE the pork belly! This is the best appetizer/ dish on this menu! Incredible! The mixture of flavors are out of this world.First they grill the pork belly then they drizzle balsamic glaze on top giving it a sweet flavor then they add a roasted grilled red pepper and a lemon wedge on the side. Squeeze the lemon juice on top cut a piece of pork with a piece of red pepper and you are in heaven. Also to compliment this dish order the Delano drink! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G also the atmosphere of this place is great along with the service. You will not be disappointed.

I came to Ethos with my grandmother upon the recommendation of a friend from the area. We shared the grilled eggplant spread and the orzo paella. The eggplant spread was tasty and different - they didn't use your standard combination of flavors and the walnuts gave it a nice crunch. The orzo paella was delicious. The seafood was perfectly cooked and a nice sized portion. Our waitress was excellent and truly impressed my grandmother. My grandma was beyond thrilled when she accidentally dropped her napkin on the floor and within a minute the waitress came with a fresh one. I look forward to returning here on a future trip to Florida especially for the paella.

The ambiance, location and service were all great. The food was good and the portion was generous, however the taste didn't feel any different than gyromania. Which is almost half the cost. I came here with my partner and my friend, because I was hoping their lamb steaks we're as good as kebabji in aventura, since the prices were the same. So, here is what we ordered. Grilled octopus: Charcoaled grilled but it was a bit burnt, that was okay, however it was on the saltier side and was too sour. Gryo lunch platter- gyro was good, not too dry, and the salad and rice that complimented it very well, this would be a dish i come back for if Gyromania wasn't closer to me and had the same dish, same portion at a cheaper cost. Lamb steak: well prepared, juicy, with 4 chucks, the presentation felt like they just piled everything randomly, for almost $30 a plate, kebobji in miami was much better in taste. Overall would I return here, probably not, but it's not because of the service or the food, it's because there are other options that are either cheaper for the same taste or better at the same cost. Hope you enjoy! Bon appetite!

I've been walking by this place for a year and finally decided to walk in. I was very happy with my experience here. It's traditional Greek with a modern twist. My first impression was my server Ron who made me feel comfortable dining solo. He had a thorough understanding of the menu and was able to guide me as to my selections. He informed me that all the food is all homemade. And a gander over the menu revealed that the food is traditional Greek sans the complicated Greek terminology. Upon Ron's recommendation, I started off with a cocktail called a Cucumber Twist. It was very light and refreshing. I then tried the eggplant spread which came with freshly grilled pita. I also ordered the Spinach Pie and Fried Calamari. The Spinach Pie was just the right blend between spinach and feta cheese with other ingredients that made it delicious. When you go to other places they either skimp on the spinach or overload on it. This was just the right balance. The Fried Calamari was marinated in a milk bath which made it very tender. It was lightly battered seasoned with salt and pepper. It was a fabulous dish. These two dishes (among several others) are served as "plates" in the traditional Greek manner of eating "family style." I returned today and this time I came later in the day and being single I chose to sit at the bar as many of the tables were occupied. Suzanne was the bartender who fixed me a cocktail called Cirque du Soliel which is like a mojito with orange. It made it rather fruity and I quite enjoyed it. For my appetizer, I tried the hummus. It was the perfect blend between tahini, fresh chick peas and garlic. It's also served with freshly grilled pita. For dinner, I ordered the Ethos platter. You have your choice of meat - grilled chicken, pork (souvlaki), gyro, keftes or veggies. I chose the gyro. The meat comes served onto a bed of Spinach Rice. The rice is cooked Greek style like the way my mother taught me - pilaf style with spinach and lemon. It also came with Greek Salad, new potatoes cooked with lemon and olive oil (the new potatoes is a nice twist on the greek lemon potatoes). You also had a serving of tzaziki sauce which was very good and clearly homemade. Overall, the food is delicious and the atmosphere is modern. If you're expecting Greek statues, Greek flags, Greek music, complicated Greek names and people dancing and breaking plates yelling "Opa!" this is not the place for you. (No Tacky Greek Found Here!) But if you want quality made dishes, nice cocktails, modern ambiance and a place that hops when the evening comes, this is the place to come.

Came here on Friday and it was jammed packed. The wait was only 30 minutes so we took a stroll in the Promenade, though there aren't many things to do here besides eat and go to WoB. Inside it was spacious, clean and I liked the open kitchen. The prices are really reasonable and the service was outstanding. We started with the sampler that comes with feta, humus, grilled eggplant and tzatziki dipping sauces. All of them were great and I don't even like tzatziki that much. We also ordered the fried calamari. Nice hearty rings, but when they say lightly breaded they really mean it. The size of these were like Pizza Time, so that is a good thing. For the price, I think $11 it's a steal. I also ordered the orzo Paella which consisted of shrimp, calamari, mussels and clams. I'd definitely order that again. Overall, I have to say its one of the better Greek restaurants in the area and we had a great experience. Sorry for no pics, but sometimes you gotta respect the plate and not get all TMZ on it.

I'm really glad I gave this place a chance. I'm not a huge fan of Greek food, but this place gives it a nice modern twist that really intrigues my taste buds. There were so many choices that sounded so delicious that we had to order multiple dishes. The complimentary bread is a great touch, and it's served with olive oil. I ordered the spanikopita and it was great and actually a very large portion. The lamb and beef patties were amazing. The grilled squid was fantastic. It was very refreshing and perfectly cooked. I asked for it to be served with a mushroom cap and it was really tasty. The grilled zucchini, red bell pepper and mushroom are served with balsamic and it was tangy, light and refreshing. The only thing I did not care for, surprisingly, was the grilled octopus, the sauce they serve it in is extremely salty and has way too many capers. My dad loved it on the other hand. The server was really friendly and really helpful. I would really love to come back here and try some other dishes

I cant say enough good things about this place. the food and service are excellent and the price is very affordable. My favorite dishes are the ethos platter (1/2 gyro 1/2 chicken) its a huge plate with rice, potatoes, cucumber dip and greek salad) for under $20 its a great deal. I also love their salmon greek salad and lamb chops. I didn't give them 5 stars because i feel they lack a variety in their dessert menu. i know they have a few typical greek desserts but i have taken many people there and no one seems interested in what they have to offer. but guess you can always go next door and get some cold stones. Overall i love this place i order for pick up a lot and they are very quick and effective. The food is always fresh and amazing.

Everything is just excellent, the hostess was very polite and looked so elegant, the wait was sorry for a sat evening, the place was packed but so cute and organized, they didn't seem overwhelmed like other places, Cathren took a very good care of us, she was very cheerful and friendly, we ordered the platter and it was alot of food, taste was phenomenal and quality, it wasn't our first time but we never been here on a sat night, highly recommended. ..

Greek Islands on Oakland Blvd is still my fave Greek place for truly authentic Greek cuisine, but Ethos is s close second. Great food and fun environment. Try to sit outside, and get the Greek wine. The platters are perfect for sharing, and the spread sampler is very good too

The Victoria Secret was a nice compliment to the Greek salad. Enjoyed the atmosphere here especially the server Paige.

Always a nice relaxing atmosphere. Food is fresh and staff is very well put together. It's a great spot to have brunch at and during a nice breeze, outside seating is where it's at.

One of my favorite places for some good lamb. I have almost tried everything on this menu from their salads, platters and gyros. I always get something different every time I go and its never a disappointment. The spread plate is my favorite appetizer here because they have some of the best hummus and pita. They have great portions and prices for their lunch options as well. The last time I went my group ordered the Baklava Cheesecake.......the balance between the two is perfect and delicious. I love this place and my go to when I'm craving some Greek food.

Came here to eat with my friend & her 7 year old brother a few nights ago. Waited about 5 mins for a table, and was seated outside. The waiter came over immediately, was very sweet, but that's pretty much the only time we saw him. I'm not sure if they share their tables here, we had about 5 different people help us out all in all, it got rather confusing. I ordered the grilled octopus - and it was to die for. The hummus was great too. My friend has skirt steak & she loved it, although the first time it came out it was cooked very well done after she asked for MR - but they were very nice & brought her a whole new plate of food. I would go back to this place for the food, it really was great, as long as you're not in a rush & can deal with the slow service - go try the grilled octopus. Maybe it was just a bad night.

My favorite restaurant I return to again and again. I usually stick with the same dishes: gyro for lunch and the salmon, rice and kale for dinner. The food is delicious and the vibe of the place is fresh and modern. Set in the middle of the Promemade (an outdoor shopping plaza) it has the best ambience whether you sit inside or out. Be prepared to wait though. This place is very popular which is why I often do takeout.

I have eaten at this place several dozen times and just realized I never left a review. Almost everything I have ever ordered has been fantastic except for the seafood orzo which was just ok. You can easily treat this like a tapas joint and just order plenty of the wonderful appetizers and share as we usually do, or you can go for an entree. The service is always great and the prices are very fair for the quality and quantity of food. I must say that I tend to be a creature of habit and order the same favorites over and over and somehow I never noticed the grilled octopus on the menu. So the last time I went I ordered it. All I can say is... might be the best dish of anything I have ever eaten from anywhere. I can't believe I have been here this many times and never ordered this before. If you like seafood, DEFINITELY order the grilled octopus.

This place was pretty great. I was there just a few hours ago with my family. I would definitely recommend the hummus spread, the eggplant smash spread, and the tzatsiki yogurt. The pita was crazy good and tasted homemade, and there was also complimentary crusty bread with an olive oil dip that my cousin called "exciting." I've had better falafel, but it didn't really matter because I was already full from the pita and dips! This was a great meal, and the staff was friendly and accommodating. A nice experience!

Love this place. Always a great time and food. Negative: our server was Ashley and we felt rushed. Tables are TOO SMALL!!!!! I usually visit Ethos once a month. This is the first time I have ever felt rushed to order and finish dinner.

Great service, great food. Ethos is located at the promenade next to World of Beer. This is very convenient because you can have drinks at world of beer while waiting for your table at Ethos. My favorite dish was the pork belly. Just delicious. The octopus was good but not the best I've had. Shrimp scampi was great! The sauce and the cooked down veggies were fantastic. Grilled veggies are always good. You can't really mess that up.

I have never had such a rude experience as I had at this place. Ive never left a review for anything good or bad but the way I felt at this place needed to be said. Started when my 1 1/2 year old dropped the fork. The lady who I now think was either a manager or owner walked past saying "here we go With the dropping of things". Wasn't much better attitude after that. It was so bad I felt they had to be mistaking us for people who once came and didn't tip. My husband who is so calm and quiet natured made a comment about the attitude as well. If my kids weren't so hungry I would have walked out.

My fiancé and I spontaneously wanted to enjoy an evening out. Luckily for us, there is a gorgeous shopping center almost within walking distance from our home; Promenade at Coconut Creek. As a newbie to the world of health and fitness, it was my decision to go for a lighter and healthier choice for our evening meal. We walked around the Promenade and happened upon Ethos Greek Bistro which lured us in with its serene ambiance, yet it had a modern feel. We made sure to check out the menu prior to seating and found it to be very reasonably priced. Ethos was a great choice. I had a taste of nostalgia as I was served their delicious cucumber spread as an appetizer, as it reminded me of my childhood when my mother would make a soup of similar ingredients. The food tasted fresh and the bread was warm and crunchy, perfect for opening up the palette. We had a wonderful night. We enjoyed Ethos so much so that I brought a family member there for drinks and appetizers upon her arrival to Florida during a vacation. The drinks were delicious and the wonderful bartender sparked up an amazing conversation with us. I even asked if she could make a drink that was not on the menu, and she whipped up the best Amaretto Sour that I've ever had, and in a larger glass than they are usually served in! I was a happy girl! I love Ethos and can't wait to go back!

I'm still a fan of Ethos Greek Bistro but my last visit there wasn't the five star experience that I was used to A few months ago my friend Sandee came for a week long visit. She shares my love of good food. I decided to take her to some of my favorite restaurants. One of the restaurants we went to was Ethos. My husband and I ordered the Gold dinner which comes with the spread sampler, Ethos salad, grape leaves, and the meat platter. Everything was delicious. Sandee ordered the grilled eggplant spread for an appetizer. For her entree she had the rebel lamb which was slow cooked lamb with feta, carrots, and potatoes served in a parchment bag. She loved her food. The serving was large and after I tasted her rebel lamb I knew I would order it on my next visit. It was delicious. I kept thinking about that rebel lamb and when Clyde and I went back that's what I ordered. Clyde had the pork tenderloin. Our server brought the rebel lamb to our table and split open the parchment bag. Steam rose from the bag and I couldn't wait to eat. I grabbed my fork and dug in. My first bite of lamb was a little meat but mostly fat. Another bite, more fat. I gave Clyde a piece to try. That piece was full of fat also. I began digging through the food. There were a few pieces of meat, and a lot of fat. We called over our server. He took the dish back but he seemed annoyed after that. I ordered the sliced pork platter which was very good, but the whole experience was very disappointing.

I love the Promenade shopping center, but this was was my first time dining at Ethos. We arrived around 6 on a Sunday and the restaurant was pretty busy, but we were able to get a high top table outside without any wait. When we sat I ordered a glass of retsina, a traditional Greek wine according to the menu. The also have a long list of signature cocktails and martinis, but I didn't venture there on this visit. We looked over the menu and knew we wanted to try a few different things. We settled on the spreads sampler and the grilled calamari. Both items arrived pretty quickly. The spreads sampler included a creamy cucumber yogurt dip, a spicy feta dip, an eggplant dip, and of course hummus. Served with fresh pita this is a great app. I think my favorite was the spicy feta, and though I didn't have any problem eating it, I was a little let down by the hummus. I didn't think it had much flavor, it was just missing the zing, but maybe they just do a milder hummus here than I prefer. The grilled calamari was heaven, perfectly cooked and tender, not at all chewy. Honestly I think we were getting a little full at this point, but it didn't stop us from putting in entree orders. By the way when you order entrees they bring out warm fresh crusty bread with an olive oil dip. I'm going to pretend I didn't eat pita AND bread, but it was all so fresh and delicious, and ok now I am officially full...and the entree arrives. I had ordered the Ethos veggies platter which came with tons of fresh grilled veggies (peppers, zucchini, portobellos) as well as salad, yogurt spread, rice, and more pita. I took a few bites and it was really delicious, but I got a box and ended up getting two more meals out of it. My boyfriend ordered the lamb chops which came on a similar platter and he enjoyed them. Even better my dog loved the bones he brought home for her. I like the atmosphere here a lot, with indoor and outdoor seating you have options, and with all the small plates and spreads on the menu you could easily stop in for a snack and a drink, or do the full meal experience like we did.

Cheers!

A little bland, but good portions. Lamb chops are very good! Small plates are nice for two... The Spanaki (sp) fried cheese, not great. The dips were excellent as an appetizer! Wines were nice a light! Overall a great place to meet.

  • Nofirstname G.

Just had a wonderful meal here. The lemon chicken soup was perfect. The house baked bread is the best we've ever had in Florida. The service (Susan was our waitress) was excellent. All around it just what we wanted.

Great place. First time trying Kefte (lamb & beef mix). Ethos lunch platter portion is large. Relaxing outside seating available. Definitely will return to try other menu items.

New to the area, came for lunch to try it out and ordered the pita gyro. The pita was uneatable, had to use a fork and knife to eat it.

My friends had orzo paella and chicken artichoke and they both really enjoyed their meals as well. I will definitely be going back!

The spread sampler hummus eggplant tzaziki was wonderful. The salad with grilled veggies was wonderful. I keep coming back here for a reason

One of our favored places to eat in the Pomanade! Great food. Greg take on traditional greek dishes. Our only complaint was that none of the featured seafood was local (nor was it all from Greece). We continue to go back time and again.

We have been coming to this restaurant for the past 3 years and their food and service have been always impeccable. Our favorite plate is the silver platter. We always have delicious leftovers for next day :) this is one of those rare places that delivers high quantity and quality!

OPA!

We found the lunch menu to be a good deal and the food to be uniformly good although there was a rancid taste to the pita bread they served on the side. (Couldn't quite figure out what might have caused that and asked the owner to look into it.) This will be a great place to dine outdoors when the weather gets cooler.

I went with my parents and ordered a bunch of small plates. Nice variety. Kefte was amazing. Spinach pie was okay, i have had better. The salad and creamy feta was great. The service was good and very accomodating. I would recommend to others.

All the food on the table looked great...I can't wait to go back and try something else. Oh and the peach Bellini was a perfect cocktail to compliment the meal.
